30 Days of Lists, Day 4

Today's list header is:
Favorite Time Wasters

First off, do Kam and Amy know me...have they been stalking me????  Oh, my, time wasters!  Favorite time wasters, where to start?

1. Television, although I am better than I used to be, I can sit in the livingroom with it off now!  :)
2. Pinterest, what did WE do before we had this?  Saves paper!!!
3. Facebook
4. All my 'with Friends' games on my iPhone.
5. Instagram.  Definitely my favorite!  I love Instagram!  I have met so many wonderful people, some true friends even.  It is so different from Facebook, so much friendlier.  A great peek into peoples lives.  Love exploring Instagram and finding those with like passions!

So thrilled that I am staying on track.  See y'all tomorrow!

30 Days of Lists, Day 3

Still on track!  Super stoked that I am keeping up!  Yes, only day 3, but still excited!  :)

Things Younger Me Would Like About Current Me:

1. I am still a Rebel
2. I am only grey around the frame of my face, wispy grey, and have never dyed my hair
3. Still married to my original model husband, 30 years and counting
4. I finally learned how to knit, 5 years ago
5. My house has 3 toilets*
6. I had 3 kids
7. I live in Texas
8. I am a grandmother
9. I have long hair
10. I have a group of good friends

*I grew up in a home with one toilet, 2 kids, 2 parents and 1 toilet, not fun!  Especially when it was being remodeled!

That was pretty easy!  Bring on the next list!  See y'all tomorrow!

Projects I am currently working on...

1. Growing up my twins.
2. Teaching Tanner to read
3. Organizing dining room into my sewing room
4. re Watching Star Trek Voyager on Amazon Prime
5. me, 2 years, 3 months into a weight loss voyage, slow, slow process
6. 2013 Project Life/Pocket Pages/Pocket Scrapbooking album
7. Organizing my scrapbook supplies
8 100s of quilt projects
9. many knitting projects

The twins will be 24 in October, they behave like teenagers though.  Love them, so much.

Day 2 was hard.  Very hard.  Right now, I only plan to 'list' on my blog, no physical listing album.  That may change.  Time will tell!  It is a good thing to be blogging again.

Have a great week y'all!

September 2013, 30 Days of Lists, Day 1

I am participating in the 30 days of lists during the month of September 2013. Today is the first day of September and the title of the first list is: New so far this year...

 1. Tanner started Kindergarten on August 26th.
 2. Gabe will have knee surgery on Friday.
 3. I spent 3 days in the hospital in June...and I did not have a baby.
 4. During that stay, I realized my oxygen level is back up to normal.
 5. We put up an iron fence for Jack and Carter, so they have a peek at the outside world.
6. Egypt is very unstable.
 7. Under the Dome is a pretty cool show.
8. I have now been to a foreign scrapbook store. (in Hockenheim Germany)

Tanner is my grandson.  Gabe is my huz.  Jack and Carter are our Labradors.  They are brothers, litter mates.  Jack is a Black Lab, and Carter is a Chocolate Lab.

Heidelberg Germany

I came along in the huz's suitcase on his business trip. We came here 6 years ago, when Jilla was pregnant and the twins were still in high school. This time they are 23 and on their own. As far as we know, the house is still standing.

We're staying at the Marriott, which is right on the Neckar river. I wish we were closer to the Hauptstrasse. We've had dinner down there twice.

We took a drive to Walldorf (20 minutes?) on Sunday. That is the little town we stayed in before. That little town is at least twice as big as it was 6 years ago. Could not find the restaurant we'd eaten at before. It must have been torn down in the name of SAP progress.

Here's a few photos from the iPhone.

A Surprise!

This morning, the huz had a 9am appointment in The Woodlands (what was he thinking?)

I missed Knitting Friday, but so did most everyone else! I hope Starbucks did not miss us too much!

After his appointment, we went to the Black Walnut for brunch, it was great!

After that we headed to Trader Joe's On the way there, I got a text from my oldest daughter, Janell, who lives in Boston. She was in Dallas, and stuck there until Monday because of the snow storm. She wanted to know if someone could pick her up at Hobby airport, I texted back that sure we could. So, we got our shopping done, drove back home to drop off the groceries, picked up the grandson at preschool, and told him we had to go pick up a package.

As we entered the RAMP into the airport, Tanner said...This is an airport, are we picking up Aunt Janell? That is one smart 5 year old! :)

Grabbed her, ran back across Houston, stayed at home for about an hour, ordered some Chinese/Vietnamese from our favorite...Hin's and went over to the inlaws to celebrate my birthday!

Hello!

Hey, I got kinda sidetracked quick from posting! Oops! I'm back, and hope to do better!

Yesterday was my birthday! 55. Double nickel. I'll take buffalo nickels, thank you! I had a great lunch with friends, then Tanners first TBall practice of the season, and the the family went to 3Bs. A good day!
