Today I Saw
1. The huz still sleeping peacefully
2. My daughter, Jilla, make breakfast for us all
3. My inlaws visiting their baby.
4. David facetiming me with THE news
So, in this case, Today was YESTERDAY, which was quiet eventful! The huz had no problems sleeping after his knee surgery, he had a good night and a good day! Jilla surprised us all by cooking cinnamon rolls, scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast. Jay had breakfast with us. The two of them cleaned up...even better! :)
My inlaws came over to see how their baby was doing after his surgery. Just after they got there, I got a TEXT from Liz Atwood, alerting me that THE proposal was about to take place in Central Park. I passed my phone back and forth to Jilla for the next hour, as Liz updated us. Finally, my phone rang, it was David calling my phone for the first time ever...actually facetiming me. I put him on speaker, and the two of them were in the screen! Janell told us that she'd agreed to be his wife! My inlaws were surprised, the huz was overwhelmed, I was so happy for her! Such exciting news! What a great birthday Janell had in NYC with David and Liz & Jeremiah Atwood. So happy the secret is finally out! David had asked for our blessing on Thursday, August 29, those 9 days about killed me. I thought I would burst!!! Whew!
Here's a photo of the happy couple!
It's a crazy life. You probably wouldn't think it would be...but, ha, the life of a mom, gammaw, quilter, knitter and sometime cook...La Vida Janetta!

30 Days of Lists, Day 6
Today the huz had surgery on his right knee. Arthroscopic surgery. He's still drugged up pretty good. I hope he (and I) have a good night! Here's a pre-op photo!

Rules to Break
1. No white shoes after Labor Day. (duh!)
2. Children should sleep alone.
3. Recipes should be followed.
4. Women don't have long hair.
5. Follow the doctors orders.
I am a big fan of co-sleeping! Recipes are just a guideline! Women should have what ever length of hair they choose! Doctors order...ha, they call it practicing, because many times they have NO clue
Have a good day! See you tomorrow!

30 Days of Lists, Day 5
I'm home from the quilt guild. Was installed as First Vice President, in charge of membership, and Show and Tell, the Beekeeper and Lottery Blocks fall under my umbrella. The guild voted on new by laws a few months ago. Shook things up a bit. More elected positions and took some of the pressure off the President by dividing the responsibilities out among the rest of us. Here's to a sucessful, stress free year! :)

Day 5! The topic is: Things That Worry Me
1. Employment, specifically, the huz, two days of firings...just this week. Still employed. Whew!
2. The kids, specifically, the twins.
3. My health
4. My parents and in laws
5. Freeways
Worry is my middle name. Stress, you name it, I can stress over it! Not only do I have high blood pressure (due to stress/worry), I also have 'white coat syndrome' (documented)! Totally awesome! <rolls her eyes>
Happy almost weekend! Oh, wait...the huz has knee surgery tomorrow, torn meniscus (at least one tear), not going to be a fun weekend at my house! Happy weekend to the rest of you though! Thanks for visiting! Would love for you to comment!

1. Tanner started Kindergarten on August 26th.
2. Gabe will have knee surgery on Friday.
3. I spent 3 days in the hospital in June...and I did not have a baby.
4. During that stay, I realized my oxygen level is back up to normal.
5. We put up an iron fence for Jack and Carter, so they have a peek at the outside world.
6. Egypt is very unstable.
7. Under the Dome is a pretty cool show.
8. I have now been to a foreign scrapbook store. (in Hockenheim Germany)
Tanner is my grandson. Gabe is my huz. Jack and Carter are our Labradors. They are brothers, litter mates. Jack is a Black Lab, and Carter is a Chocolate Lab.
